New at ContentCon: meet Contentstack Canoe. See what AI says about your brand.

Getting started

Add your brand, create your first monitor and read the report. It's ready about two minutes after you finish.

Before you start

  • A work email or a Google account. Free needs no card and doesn't expire.
  • Your brand's primary domain, like tarnwell.example. It's set once per brand, so use the one buyers know.
  • Optional: your competitors and the product to measure first. Contentstack Canoe drafts both from your site. You just check its work.
  • Nothing to install. No Contentstack CMS, page tag or analytics access needed. Contentstack Canoe reads your public site and changes nothing on it.

Create your account

  1. Select Start free.

  2. Enter your name, work email and a password (8 or more characters, with one uppercase letter and one special character). Or choose Sign up with Google.

  3. Follow the link in the verification email, then log in.

Add your brand

  1. On Brands, select Add Brand.

  2. Paste a URL or domain into Brand Domain and select Add Brand.

  3. A Setting up card ticks off Brand details, Competitors and Products & personas, usually in under a minute.

  4. When it's done, the setup wizard opens.

Your site being read, then the five wizard steps, labelled as in the app. Fictional brand.
Important

The brand domain can't be changed later, and monitors only target URLs on it. Separate sites for separate brands? Add each one as its own brand.

If your site blocks automated access

Behind a bot or CDN challenge? Choose Save anyway or Add anyway. The engines research brands through web search, so the monitor usually still runs.

What each message means (4)
  • We couldn't reach your domain. Check for a typo. If the address is right, add it anyway.
  • Site is not reachable. Setup stops until the block is fixed.
  • We couldn't read your domain. Choose Try again, or Continue and fill in manually.
  • A banner asks you to review the profile. It was drafted from web search, so give it an extra look.

The site audit shows which AI crawlers look blocked and how to let them in.

Create your first monitor

A monitor is a set of buyer questions asked on a schedule. Each wizard step shows what was drafted: fix anything wrong, then select Next. What's this for? explains the step.

Step 1: Brand details

Brand name
The name the engines' answers are searched for.
Brand name variations
Up to five alternate names, acronyms, casings and misspellings. Add product names buyers use, since a product name alone isn't counted.
Business type
B2B, B2C or Both. Tunes the questions and personas.
Location
Your primary market, like Global, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, India or Japan. Questions are scoped to it.
Language
The language the questions are written in. Major languages are supported; the default is English.

Step 2: Competitors

Up to five are suggested from your site and the web. You can track up to ten.

  • Remove brands that don't compete for the same buyer. Comparison and alternatives questions are written against this list, and loose matches dilute share of voice.
  • Add competitor takes a name, a domain and up to five name variants.

Step 3: Products

Pick the one product this monitor measures. One product per monitor keeps questions specific and runs comparable, so a second product gets a second monitor. Add product takes a name and a short description.

Step 4: Personas

The most relevant persona is preselected. Pick up to ten; the question budget is split across them. None fit? Add your own persona with its identity, demographics and job profile.

Step 5: Prompts

The questions the engines answer on every run, each tagged Awareness, Consideration or Decision.

  1. Delete anything no buyer in your market would ask.

  2. Add prompt for your own question (up to 300 characters), with an optional region and a stage. Then Save.

  3. Check the meter: what one run costs and what's left this cycle. Over? Remove a question, or add prompts on Growth.

  4. Pick a Run schedule: Daily, Weekly, Monthly or On Demand.

  5. Select Create Monitor. Save or discard any half-typed question first, since it blocks the button. You'll see GEO monitor created and the first run starts.

The meter counts prompts (some screens say credits). See the prompt math.

Your first report

Open the monitor from the GEO Monitors table on your brand page. Start with Overview, then Prompts filtered to Gaps: the questions where the engines leave you out. A first read in ten minutes covers the rest.

Free runs ChatGPT and Gemini and includes the competitor leaderboard, sentiment, buyer journey and citations, plus your top two recommendations. Metrics defines every number.

Manage your monitor

All of this lives in the monitor's row on the brand page.

Run now
The play button starts a run. It's disabled while one is in progress.
Pause or resume
Pause Monitor or Resume Monitor in the row menu. History is kept.
Web hook
On Growth, an on-demand monitor's row menu gives you a URL to trigger runs from CI or after you publish. See API and webhooks.
Brand settings
The gear icon opens Overview, Brand, Competitors, Products and Personas: the profile new monitors draw on.
Download Report
On Growth, a PDF of the run from the monitor dashboard.
Delete Monitor
Removes the monitor and all its results. It can't be undone.

Re-extract in brand settings re-reads your site and replaces the name, variations, business type and vertical, overwriting your edits on that tab.

Invite your team

Every plan has unlimited usersFair use policy applies. In the workspace menu, select Invite teammates and enter emails separated by commas, or share the invite link. Teammates join as Member. The workspace creator is the Owner, and only the owner can buy add-ons.
