Connect Lytics

Bring your Lytics audiences into Contentstack Canoe as personas, ground the questions you test in what those people read and see what AI tells them.

Enterprise feature

Agent traffic is part of the Enterprise plan. To turn it on for your workspace, talk to us.

What you get

  • Personas from real audiences. Each Lytics audience you pick becomes a persona, with its size, topics, top pages, locations and job titles.
  • Questions grounded in what they read. The questions you test reflect what those people actually look at.
  • Results by audience. Visibility for each persona next to its audience size, so large audiences with low visibility come first.
  • AI-referred visits. People Lytics saw arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude or Copilot.
  • People and agents. The pages people care about that AI agents skip.

Contentstack Canoe reads audience totals only, never individual people.

Create a Lytics token

  1. In Lytics, open Account > Security > Access Tokens and create a token.

  2. Give it the read-only roles Observer, Content view and Schema view. Nothing else is needed.

  3. Copy the token.

Use the Lytics project that tracks this brand's website.

Connect

  1. Open your brand's settings, select Integrations, then Connect on the Lytics card.

  2. Paste the token and connect. Contentstack Canoe shows what the token can read.

  3. The first sync starts right away, then runs every day. Sync now runs it again.

Two notes are normal with a read-only token: page topics need a role that can edit content, and the project domain can't be checked. Pages still rank by how many people read them.

Import personas

  1. In your brand's settings, select Personas, then Import from Lytics.

  2. Pick the audiences that matter and select Preview.

  3. Check what each persona gets, then Import. An audience can create a new persona or add its details to one you already have.

Import from Lytics: a searchable list of audiences with their sizes, and Preview.
Audiences below the minimum size shown in the picker are listed but can't be imported.

Audiences below the minimum size shown in the picker give noisy results, so they can't be imported. Audiences that cover nearly everyone are left out too.

See people and agents

Open a monitor, select Agent Traffic, then Audience.

Results by audience: prompts that mention you and an audience-weighted view, visibility by engine and each persona with its Lytics audience size, prompts and visibility.
Results by audience for a fictional brand.
  • Results by audience puts each persona's visibility next to its audience size.
  • AI-referred visits are a minimum: app visits often arrive with no referrer, and most people who see an AI answer never click. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode can't be tracked this way.
  • What people read vs what AI agents read needs your site connected too, with Cloudflare or Custom edge.

Disconnect

Disconnect on the Lytics card stops syncing and removes the stored token. Personas you imported stay. Then delete the token in Lytics.

Troubleshooting

The token is missing a role

The card names it. Add Observer, Content view and Schema view to the token in Lytics, or create a new one and connect again.

An audience can't be imported

It's below the minimum size shown in the picker, or it covers nearly everyone. Pick a more specific audience.

AI-referred visits show zero

Counting starts from your first sync. Lytics needs the referring site or a utm_source tag on the visit.
